Katherine Jackson, PhD, LPAT, ATR-BC, RYT, INHC (pronouns: She/Her) has been a practicing mental health clinician for over 35 years. She is also a board-certified Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Art Therapist, Registered Yoga teacher, Health Coach, and trained telehealth provider. Katherine has a Masters of Expressive Therapy from University of Louisville, and her Ph.D. In Psychology form Sofia University.
Katherine has a private practice where she works with a myriad of different clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, body-image issues, health at every size/body positivity/body neutrality, ADHD, trauma, and couples and family therapy. Katherine uses holistic, creative arts, and wellness principles to help individuals /couples/families realize their full potential and learn to cope with life stressors. She also utilizes mindfulness practices, such a meditation and therapeutic yoga to achieve optimal health.聽
Katherine’s strengths are in her relational style of counseling and art therapy, utilizing a positive psychology and wellness-based approach. 聽A compassionate and authentic connection that can facilitate deep inner knowing and awareness is paramount in her approach with individuals, couples, and families.聽
Katherine has 30 years of teaching experience in higher education, counseling, and art therapy. She is passionate about service-learning experiences and runs her own program housed at Beachwood Counseling Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has taken students and community members to Nepal, South Africa and Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota, to volunteer with underserved and marginalized people. Katherine has recently published a book entitled, “Service-learning through Cultural Exchange and Expressive Arts Therapy” (2026).
Katherine has presented nationally and internationally on various topics including multicultural competency, service learning, creative arts therapies, anxiety/depression, and holistic wellness.
